And….we’re back

We’re back from our 2-day visit to Muang Ngoi Neau. It was beautiful, interesting and chilly (a feeling we haven’t had in a while). Pictures and more info coming soon, but for now you can lower the threat alert level back down to beige again.

Don’t Panic!

Video of the Day

Here’s a quick glimpse of Pak Beng, a riverside town in Laos that serves as the overnight stopping point for the 2 day boat trip between the Thai-Lao border and Luang Prabang. The tiny town is clearly built around tourism, so it’s very heavy on guesthouses, bars and restaurants. We paid about $20 for a guesthouse room, dinner, breakfast and lunch to go for the boat trip the next day. Not bad…
